My final recommendation is to track how much time you spend on each learning task in a journal. As soon as you can consume entertainment in Spanish these will fly by, because you're no longer 'working' you're just doing what you'd normally do, except in Spanish. The most important thing to take in mind is that language learning takes hundreds of hours. Knowing the general plot will allow you to follow along when you inevitably get lost. You can quickly increase your vocab by highlighting words you don't know and creating flashcards on Anki. Get a Kindle and read a book you've read before as a kid, this time in Spanish. In a few months you'll know all the basic vocabulary. The chrome extension allows you to do this directly on your browser. Watch it with Spanish subtitles and translate every word you don't understand. Use sites like (chrome extension) and watch children's shows (i chose Pokemon, since I've seen it before).
Whatever you do make sure you consume as much comprehensible input as possible.
